Cancellation of SRF’s Summer Day Program for Children and Teens

As you may be aware, the State of California continues to enforce restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Large public gatherings are not permitted, and a wide range of other activities are still limited at this time.  

Because of these restrictions and our concern for the safety of all involved, regrettably, we will not be able to hold the SRF Summer Day Program this year.

However, we look forward to continuing our services to our SRF youth through the creation of new online activities for children and teens. The release of “Journey to Lake Shrine” in December—a series of five videos highlighting this unique sanctuary and introducing young people to some of the basic “How-to-Live” teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda—has been enthusiastically received by our youth and people of all ages. We are excited to be able to share Paramahansaji’s teachings in this new format and will provide details of future events soon.

Over the years, so many of you have shared with us the joy and inspiration that your children and teens have experienced during our Summer Day Programs. We appreciate your loving interest in helping us support our SRF youth. The past year has presented many challenges, and unexpected twists and turns for so many of us, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But through the guidance and compassionate wisdom of our gurudeva, Paramahansa Yogananda, we have been given the spiritual tools to help us adapt with resilience and optimism to whatever new opportunities the future holds.

May God and Gurus bless you and your dear ones, and may you know that They are ever protecting you with Their divine light and love.
