“Transforming the World Through a Life of Dharma: The Spiritual Legacy of Paramahansa Yogananda” is the focus of a special presentation to be given on Sunday, November 4, by two monastics from the SRF International Headquarters during the 2018 Parliament of the World’s Religions in Toronto.

Br_Satyananda.pngIn the one-hour presentation, Brother Satyananda (right) and Brother Govindananda (below left) will discuss the spiritual legacy that Paramahansaji left for future generations of the world, and how to live in a way that serves dharma (righteousness) by harmonizing with God’s divine plan for humanity and the world civilization. They will also lead the attendees in periods of guided meditation and introspection.

Brother_Govindananda.pngThe mission of the Parliament of the World’s Religions is to “cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world.” This year marks the 125th anniversary of the Parliament, which first convened in Chicago in 1893—the year of Paramahansa Yogananda’s birth.

The 2018 Parliament will convene November 1–7 at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and is expected to draw thousands of prominent global religious and civic leaders, scholars, positive social change advocates, and lay members of the world’s diverse religions.

The presentation by SRF monastics will take place on Sunday, November 4, 2018, 6 – 7 p.m. in Room 704. To learn more, or to attend the sessions, please visit the 2018 Parliament website.
